Jani Venter

Jani Venter is a Managing Director and Head of Solutions for the Global Defined Contribution Team at Brookfield Asset Management. Prior to joining Brookfield, she served as Head of Defined Contribution Real Estate Solutions at J.P. Morgan Asset Management, where she was a senior member of the DC Fund Management team.

Jani has more than 20 years of investment industry experience, including a decade leading client and product strategy for defined contribution private markets solutions. She has played a key role in the development and growth of these solutions within defined contribution plans.

She serves on the Board of Directors of the Defined Contribution Alternatives Association and as Chair of the Defined Contribution Committee at the Institute for Portfolio Alternatives. She previously served as Co-President of the Defined Contribution Real Estate Council and Co-Chair of the Defined Contribution Affinity Group at the Pension Real Estate Association.

Jani holds a Master of Science in Real Estate Development from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and bachelor's degrees in Building Science and Architecture from Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University.
